Tilla Work

Tilla is Kashmir's metallic-thread embroidery. Fine gold- or silver-toned thread is laid on the surface of the fabric and stitched down, building florals and borders with a soft, warm shine. It has long been the embroidery of choice for occasions and for the finest winter garments in the valley.

About Tilla Work

Our Tilla edit centres on pherans. There are Tilla pherans in wine and walnut brown, two pink pherans from our Shalimar Winter collection, and a Tilla pheran set with a matching bottom. Each is Free Size and embroidered most often at the neckline.

There are also pashmina stoles finished with Tilla floral borders, in black, graphite, pink and peach coral. For co-ord sets, choose from the silk sets in our Silky collection, in wine, purple and teal, a co-ord set in cashmilon, or one in ruby cotton.

Tilla catches the light without overwhelming it, which makes it easy to wear from a winter afternoon into the evening. Each product page lists the fabric, size and care for that piece.
